Lighter Refilling

Please follow strict refilling instructions for optimum performance.  Only refill when lighter is empty.  Lighter and butane canister must be pointed toward ground.  If pointed up, air instead of gas will be injected into the lighter causing air bubbles and inconsistent ignitions. Fit butane canister’s pin valve into lighter’s intake valve and push firmly for 8 seconds. Butane gas will be injected into the lighter’s chamber. Finished! Wait 30 seconds before lighting. Do not take apart lighter.

Triple Refined Butane- We recommend using triple refined butane which can be found at specialty stores like cigar shops. There are some single refined brands on the market, like Ronson, that may clog the lighter after repeated refills. Butane is a dirty gas that requires refining to remove particles. Please try to use only triple refined butane gas.

Flame Adjustment- There is a small slotted sleeved around the intake valve on the bottom of the lighter.  Use a very small screw driver to turn this sleeve toward the desired (+) or (-) position.

Trouble Shooting-
1. If attempted refill exceeded 8 seconds, the lighter’s valve opening may have been “blown” open.  To check for this, place another flame to tip of lighter, click switch and check for butane emission.  If a large 6 inch flame is present , adjust valve toward the negative (-) (See Flame Adjustment Above). If no flame is present, adjust toward (+).

2. If attempted refill had butane canister pointed up, it is necessary to “burp” the lighter and release unwanted air. Use a pointed object to push in the lighter’s pin valve. Point the bottom of lighter up, push in valve and gas will be ejected. Point away from eyes and any other flame. After burping, refill correctly.
